We chose this particular location in the world because Erika demanded that we go to a 100% german speaking place or she isn't going!! (kidding). This was actually entirely Dustin's idea. What we wanted was a location that satisfied several important criteria. See below for each criteria - the last missing criteria is YOU!
I am sure you can find other spots that are pretty sweet, but we thought a 1461 built castle located on a lake in the Austrian Alps is pretty darn cool. Not to mention it's a 5 star hotel.
Soul: The award winning "Asaya" spa has sauna, steam, pools, and all of the treatments you'd want.
Body: There are several beautiful and challenging hikes right outside of the Castle
The Castle has six restaurants on-site, a private fish farm and incredible reviews. We are a short 25 minute drive from Salzburg where we plan to have dinner one evening as well.
Every vacation has to have a crazy fun event at some point. I am not sure what is better than Oktoberfest. We plan on taking a private 2 hour party shuttle to Munich to enjoy an evening of John Denver songs and heavy german beer. If you haven't been, it's a bucket list event. If you have been, you know it's the best party ever.

Budget UPDATE: We negotiated a group rate of 720 euros per night couples and 670 euros per night if single. We also negotiated the upgraded rooms of "Premier Lakeside" room and "Grand Premier Lakeview" instead of the standard room. If booked directly through the hotel, this room is 1,000 to 1,100 euros per night!
The nightly rate includes breakfast everyday, access to the famous spa, which costs 245 euros if not staying at the hotel, and private lake access (among many other amenities).
NOTE: You must email schlossfuschl@rosewoodhotels.com and mention "Dustin Warner Event" in order to reserve your room. They cannot confirm the exact room type but we were told it will be either "Premier Lakeside" or "Grand Premier Lakeview"!
Why: YOLO and we all deserve it. Seriously, life is fragile and beautiful and too short!

Arrive at your leisure before 5pm. Only planned event is the Welcome Dinner. We have reserved a private space in the Castle to host everyone so its important to join! Erika and Dustin will be covering this dinner for all as a thank you for joining us across the World!

A unique traditional Austrian lunch at a farmhouse in the alps (pictured to the left).
Head into Salzburg for a city tour and dinner.
Enjoy the spa and/or hike the region.
Morning is free
Leave at 11 or 12 to Munich. Explore the city and Bavarian Beer Hall prior to heading to our Oktoberfest table at 5:30.
Dustin and Erika will be covering the cost of the shuttle and the cost of the private table(s) at Oktoberfest.

Nothing Planned but will update as we get closer to the event. Possible options include more Salzburg tours, hiking, or full day of R&R.
Only required event is a group lunch at the hotel hosted by Dustin and Erika. Time TBD.
Check out
Many people will either be flying in early to Europe or leaving several days after checkout. Once we get a head count we can create a group chat to see who wants to continue to travel/tour around Europe. Also we will try to coordinate shuttles to the aiport.
We understand this isn't a random budget item you can just add on for 2026. And we certainly don't expect to do these kind of trips often (next one is our 50th!). No guilt or hard feelings if you can't attend. With that said, we'd love to figure out a way to have everyone join!!!
